► MANY FIRSTS FOR TOURNAMENT: First time for electronic scheduling & first time hosting over 300 colleges and universities.
► LOGO DESIGN WINNER: Seton Hill Softball! “We hope the teams realize that we are doing all we can to give them the best experience – leading up to, during, and after the Games.” says Alison Strange, President of PFX Athletics. “THE Games are their games and we hope these little extras, like the logo design contest, give the teams a sense of not only competition, but pride in their role in the event.”

► FOR SUMMER, PFX Athletics has put together a competitive women’s fastpitch tournament series along the Eastern seaboard, USA. Team PFX Athletics will partner with the Virginia Women’s Fastpitch League for a summer series stretching from Clermont, Florida to Tidewater, Virginia. Opportunities also are being investigated to play internationally in Europe or Cuba.
► DONATIONS: In 2015, PFX Athletics provided over $10,000 in equipment to a local fastpitch youth league. In 2016, the tournament sponsors are soliciting teams to bring a bag of gently-used (but safe) gear to share with our local leagues and high schools.
► A MEDIA GUIDE/ PROGRAM BOOK is being introduced this year by PFX Athletics.

► FANS ARE ASKED TO TWEET (@PFXAthletics) OR POST to THE Spring games Facebook Group what they are most looking forward to at this year’s tournament. The Prize: $25.00 Gift Certificate to Clermont Waterfront Bikes & Boards, but entries must be made by January 31 for a chance to win.
► 364 TEAMS ARE NOW REGISTERED for THE Spring Games; 3 teams are currently on the registration reserve list.
► TICKETS FOR THE GAMES and theme parks are available online at the PFX Athletics “Shop.”
► TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE will be delivered by this Thursday, January 14.
► T-SHIRTS AND OFFICIAL SPRING GAMES MERCHANDISE will be available online in February.
► CLERMONT'S YOUTH WITH A MISSION (YWAM) are offering a ropes course during the tournament for team-building exercises. Tours also are available of earthbag homes, sustainable agriculture, and acquaponics, all sustainable living techniques as part of YWAM's Justice Initiative with third-world countries.
