HAPPY EASTER

LIFE'S HARD!

#32 INF Kayla Fromal (Middletown, DE).

NAH… MAYBE NOT REALLY TRUE? But the stresses, highs, knocks, wins & losses in softball – so intense in the moment, not so important in the long run -- seem such an exceptional training ground for life's many major challenges and responsibilities in the future, both personal and financial.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The column featured below by Amanda Scarborough may be more appropriate for the younger softball pitcher than the collegiate hurler, but there still is a lot of wisdom in it. CLICK HERE for the full article.

CAC teams national update
Christopher Newport #3,
while Salisbury ranked #8

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) have tossed the Wesley Wolverines' opponents – the Salisbury Sea Gulls and Christopher Newport Captains – up and down the list of top 25 teams in the early weeks of the new 2016 season.

As of last week's rankings, Wednesday, March 16, the NFCA rewarded the Captains current 16-1 strong start with a #3 rank in the nation, while the Sea Gulls' 14-3 record through this week have them not far behind in the #8 spot. CLICK HERE for the DIII national rankings or CLICK HERE for the NCAA report.

Christopher Newport and Salisbury are, of course, like Wesley, both Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) members, where they are #1 and #2 respectively in the conference standings. Wesley sits in the #6 place.

The Christopher Newport Captains have only been beaten by the Texas-Tyler Patriots who are ranked #1 nationally. The Salisbury Sea Gulls have lost to the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins, ranked #11, the powerhouse Rowan Profs and an unyielding outing from the Roanoke Maroons.

The Wesley Wolverines will play Salisbury at home on Wednesday, April 13, and travel to Newport News, VA, for the Christopher Newport games on Saturday, April 16.

NEW PHOTO WEB PAGE

2000+ pics & more to come!
Wolverine game photos
now available at website

It can be hard to catch every exciting moment of every inning of Wesley Wolverines softball.

Many obstacles get in the way.

It can be cold and windy at DuPont Field (e.g., Keystone games). Three outs, at times, can stretch to hours (e.g., Swarthmore games). Distant away games can make it impossible for many fans to attend (e.g., Christopher Newport upcoming games, VA).

You can review, however, the Wolverine's past performances almost anywhere at any time in the comfort of home via Wesley game coverage photography. Not that the camera catches all the action; actually, much is missed, but to-date there are …

23 photo albums ● 2,191 photos recording the early 2016 season & growing every week!
These albums and photos are now all together on a single web page that will chronicle as many games as possible (possibly all of them!) through the spring semester at https://sites.google.com/site/2016wolverinephotos

New web page collects Wolverine 2016 photo albums and slideshows

These photos and albums always appear first right here on this page at this blog. At the new ancillary website, they are arranged to easily find a favorites game or team activity, allowing visitors to quickly flip through photos of daughters, grandchildren, nieces, favorite players, etc!

Bookmark the page or always find its link on the left-hand column of this blog.

NOTE: The photos are perfectly sharp and clear online, but they are of a resolution that may not (or may) be suitable for printing or enlarging to any great extent. These slideshows also are part of a free service from Google where major format changes are happening that may make adding new albums after May 1, 2016 not easily doable.

FROMAL CAC INTERVIEW

From the Capitol Athletic Conference (CAC) homepage...
“… I love sports. If we aren’t practicing then I’m normally in the gym kicking a soccer ball around or shooting hoops. I love working out and staying in great shape. I also enjoy kayaking, hiking and rock climbing in my free time. Through the summers, I work at the YMCA summer camps and I enjoy being a counselor and a role model for kids.” – Wesley Wolverine senior #32 INF Kayla Fromal (Middletown, DE).
