NFCA NATIONAL RANKINGS

Just like almost every year...
Wolverines face challenging season,
two ranked teams are on the schedule

Every year the Wesley Wolverines face a tough Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) schedule. This year is no different, if you judge by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) rankings of USA DIII teams.

Not surprisingly, the CAC Salisbury Sea Gulls, just 60 miles south of the Wesley College campus, are ranked in the #2 national spot.

Falling into the #12 position in the national rankings are the CAC Christopher Newport Captains.

Behind power pitching and bats, expect both teams to rise in these national rankings as the year progresses. Salisbury may not have much higher to climb. Still, when the Wolverines battled Salisbury over the past two years, the Sea Gulls were ranked #1 across the nation at the time.

The Wolverines will play Salisbury this spring in a doubleheader, Wednesday, April 13, at home on DuPont Field.

A few days later, Wolverines will travel to Newport News , VA, to take on the Captains in a Saturday doubleheader, April 16.
