PLAYING SALISBURY 2015

NOTE: It is a privilege to play the renown Salisbury Sea Gulls softball team every year. The university consistently fields an awesomely talented squad that has been ranked #1 nationally the last three seasons when the Wesley Wolverines have clashed with them. (Salisbury is currently ranked #2 during this off season.)

Salisbury (undergrads: 7,997) is always tough for Wesley (undergrads: 1,528) to beat. Still, no one ever goes into this conference game with anything less than the highest expectations, which were soaring last March -- through Wesley's top of the fourth in a seven inning game -- as the Wolverines enjoyed a 1-0 lead. Wesley Wolverine senior #22 C/INF Morgan Seymour (Smyrna, DE) – pictured below – had driven-in the sole run of the game, while from the circle All-Conference junior #12 P Lindsay Siok (Milford, DE) had comfortably handled the first run through the Sea Gulls' powerful lineup.

The Wolverines, who tallied the most wins in school history last season, did NOT take home a “W” that day. But, as they say, there's always next year!

TINY ALTERATION OF PHOTO GRAPHIC: This is a picture of the scoreboard on March 25, 2015, except the name “Wesley” has replaced here what read “Guest” on the actual board.
