E-MAIL DIRECTORY

Creating fans e-mail directory
Wolverine parents and families
involved in many team projects

There may be more communication needed among Wesley College fastpitch family and friends this year than was ever required before. That's because there's a lot of activities in the planning stages.

Click here for the online directory.
Please help to keep it
accurate and up-to-date.
So we have created a web based Wolverine softball fans' email directory.

CLICK HERE to view the online list of emails.

The directory is far from complete.

We urge family of the Wolverine players to add or correct their name and email address, or include another family member, or send first names that are missing for several people.

To provide information, just email wesleysoftball@gmail.com anytime through the year to request changes or, if you wish, to be removed from the list.

Here's a half-dozen possibilities where access to other Wolverine families' email may be helpful...

1. UPCOMING COOKOUT.
Mark Hoffman, father of
sophomore #99 OF Lauren Hoffman (Middletown, DE), is organizing the Wolverine family cookout for the Saturday, October 3 quadruple header at DuPont Softball Field on the Wesley College campus. It is hope many families attending the tournament will contribute to this picnic “banquet” with special plates, meats, goodies, refreshments, etc. – even hardware, like extra grills are needed.

A SIGN UP SHEET
for families to volunteer a dish and/or help with the service has been circulated among the team's players by Coach Greep.

2. OCTOBER 3 CONCESSION STAND. Ivelisse Marcano, mother of junior #18 C Nina Marcano (Middletown, DE), is heading up the project and looking for ideas via email for raising money at next weekend's fall-ball tournament. Players have been asked to donate $10 each to purchase items like candy, chips, water, etc. for resale. Coach Greep also is working with a local fast food business for donations for the sale.

3. 2016 FLORIDA TRIP. It will be “all-aboard” on the AutoTrain for the Wolverine team when they depart March 4, 2016 for The Spring Games in Clermont, Florida. Parents who discover a great travel deal – train, plane, or car – might share the details of their plans by email with other parents considering or preparing for the same trek.

4. CLERMONT, FLORIDA, ACCOMMODATIONS. There's over 300 college teams headed for Central Florida for what's billed as the “world's largest softball tournament.” Homes, rooms, hotels, and motels are booked early and the best housing deals can be reserved fast. Several families have already gone together to rent a vacation home near the playing fields. Parents who find good deals for staying the week in the sunshine state might share their plans in an email memo to everyone.

5. TEAM FUND RAISING. If it's a typical year, there is more fund raising ahead from candles to clothing to candy bars. Anyone with real success stories in selling these items might let others know how they achieved the high sales.

6. LEARN ABOUT WOLVERINE SOFTBALL. There are seven new players this year. That's almost forty percent of the team. Newcomers may want to use the email list to query about the Wolverines schedule. EXAMPLES: How fans should dress for early spring games? – ANSWER: if it's a typical year, “VERY warmly!” (It can be chilly to extremely cold in February/ March, especially with a wind that seems to be forever blowing over the DuPont Softball Field. Bring hand-warmers for the players!) Are folding chairs needed? ANSWER: “Maybe.” (Seating is limited with stands located between third base and left field. Many fans bring chairs to sit near home plate, though this area is small and can get crowded.) Is food from a concession stand available? ANSWER: “no, and there is not a retail store nearby.” (Best bring a cooler for food and drinks.) The questions might go on about... (1) away games, (2) Capital Athletic Conference, (3) ranked competition, (4) special games (senior day, faculty appreciation day, etc.), (5) post-season playoffs, etc. There's plenty to inquire about.
